Frog Hat and Shoes
These are real shoes, with leather soles. The hat and the uppers of the shoes are batiked, trapunto-quilted silk satin with beads. there is also a parasol and handbag in the form of waterlily leaves to go with the hat and shoes. I did these for Crafts in Gear, an Australia-wide exhibition, and for once I was selected. For some reason the whole show ended up in the National Gallery of Australia. I think this is the most eccentric thing I have ever made.
