Silk batik, quilted and beaded. By this time I had begun to learn bobbin lace from Rosemary Shepherd, and this bag has a strip of my own torchon lace on it. I didn't continue lace, largely because you have to have greater skill than I was prepared to acquire, in order to do your own designs. I need to do my own designs, however silly or odd they may be. I always have to learn how I can do whatever it is.
