Unwilling Journeys
Boxed accordion book of my family history, in which most of my women relatives have been put into boats and taken where they didn’t want to go - (pictures on one side, written chronicle on the other): board, paper, photocopies, paint, metal mesh, cast paper figure, collage, chain, old fabric etc. I find myself inhibited doing writing in my books. Possibly, because I was constantly punished for my bad writing as a left-handed child. I did try to learn calligraphy, but my doctor told me to stop because "It is making you sick."
