Gridded Book
I made this in a Master workshop with Michael Brennand-Wood. Handmade paper, collage, sticks, copper nails, waxed thread, plastic, metal mesh, wire, paint. Coptic binding, part of a series of three. We were given a bag of things to use, together with a piece of information to inspire us. Mine was an article about how in the past museums were seen as microcosms of life, while now they are more minimal; more specialised. I love, and work from museums, so I took the maximal/minimal idea and made books with minimal content hidden within maximal outsides.
