Self portrait
I did this as a result of doing a workshop with Jane Sauer. At first I made a piece which was very colourful and spiky, and then realised that this was the way that others saw me, and that , like most of us, I was very vulnerable, so made a piece out of eggshells. This portrait I made later showing both aspects of myself. the box is painted and collaged, and inside are broken eggshells containing objects symbolic of my life, nested in red fur.
